The Detroit Lions made another dramatic comeback against the Atlanta Falcons yesterday, but in order to win consistently, they must play better throughout the entire game. In consecutive games against terrible defenses, the Lions scored a grand total of three points. Did they take their opponents too lightly? Yes. When a team like Detroit is trying to become a consistent winner, they can’t afford to take any team lightly. The coaches need to do a better job in preparing the players, which can be done by asking, not telling, the players what they should do in certain formations. The focus has to be there from start to finish, because when you play with fire long enough, you’re going to get burned.
